Preparatory training begins, for me, next week for the 2006 tri season. I have a basic outline of my training schedule which I will be putting up on this site later this week. First, however, I would like to list my goals for this upcoming season. In the meantime, I'm getting a lot of rest and letting my muscles heal from last season as much as possible before I begin again. Of course, I don't want to lose too much fitness so I'm also training for a marathon and riding my bike to the PA border and such :-D.
Goals for '06:
Race Goals:
1. Complete a half-Ironman (plan on coming to see me in Delaware for the Diamond man next September)
2. Complete four triathlons of varying lengths
3. Improve upon transition time
4. Learn to get angry i.e. develop a winning at (almost) all costs attitude
Training Goals:
1. Swim one hour continuously
2. Improve lactic threshold on the bike
3. Develop perfect pedal stroke
4. Run 7:30 mile average over half marathon
